Tough Guy

This is my little guy and his kickin' .50 cent tattoo he insisted on getting, instead of his usual gumball. Of course, not five minutes after we got it on him, he wanted it removed. The scrubby sponge did the trick.

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving here. My wife loves to cook and we will be having a total of around 16 people here to eat and watch football and hopefully, relax.

The puppies are all doing well and growing. We have our "puppy pick out date" all set for December 19th. No kids will be allowed to come, just us adults, making a reasoned and informed decision as to which puppy we will own. We are hoping there is a puppy there that will see the golden opportunity before it!

New Beagles All Day Long!

Today I witnessed an amazing thing. We've been planning on getting a new beagle from a breeder (why, I'm not quite sure) and we got our names on the waiting list and put in a deposit. We were told two litters would be born in late November or early December. Well, yesterday we got word that the first litter, carried by Ruby, was on its way. The breeder actually uses a webcam to let all those interested see the births as they happen! I set the computer up last night as Ruby started her labor and then fell asleep.

At 3:30 in the morning I was awakened by a mewing whine from the laptop. The first pup, a boy, was born! I tried to listen as i dozed for the next pups, but by the time I awoke around 6:30am there were 4 pups - 1 boy and 3 girls. Well, at least we would definitely have the choice of a female! AS the morning progressed, more and more pups kept coming, to everyone's amazement. Finally, ruby pushed out her last pup, the 11th, and laid down to rest!

I must say it was a wonderful thing to watch. Ruby was a trooper, and my kids got to witness a birth before they had to go to school. They are very excited, to say the least.

Pictured below is the happy family, though Sam the father isn't pictured. Ruby is a little protective and doesn't want other dogs around her lovely brood.

IGotYourBackMan Merchandise Coming Soon!

I've been remiss in my CafePress Shop duties. I've got a lot of ideas for roll out this holiday season. I plan on taking the IGotYourBackMan saying, logo, and associated merchandise worldwide, you know. ;)

Stay tuned and keep checking back at my store. I need to get my logo software working properly again.

Wally Backman is Back!

It is a wonderful thing to be able to report this week that Wally Backman has been hired by the New York Mets to manage their Single A team, the Brooklyn Cyclones. Wally and Lenny were my favorite players back in the day. More so Wally because I also played second base as a kid, and watching how he played the position, ran the bases, dragged a bunt and hustled on the base paths was a joy to watch and to try to emulate. I did ok for myself (I like to think), for a scrawny but athletically coordinated lad!

Anyway, I am ecstatic for Backman, and for myself. I am pretty sure he will do very well and quickly move up the ranks and be in a position once again to get a MLB manager's job. It would be a dream come true for both of us if he ever became the Mets' manager. Is that too much to ask for, Lord?

In other news, I hope to be posting now more regularly. The kids are 6 and 4 now, and this hopefully gives me more time to write posts and share my world. On that note, here's a great poster I want to get as it aptly describes the blogging art...

It's Been A While

Here I am again.
I'm about to go out to dinner tonight, but of course we are waiting on the babysitter.

I think I'll start writing some more on this here blog once more. Got some ideas kicking around the noggin'.

Later.

Internet Footprint Reduction

Due to time constraints and other worries, I am reducing my internet footprint for the time being. This blog will remain on the net for that time when I wish to take it up again more fully. Until then, I will be maintaining a lowered profile.

Peace Out.
